About the role
Thinkmill is growing and we are looking to add another senior full-time designer to the team to help take on more (and more ambitious) projects, as well as to shape our growing design team.
Here are a few recent projects you might have worked on if you were already part of the team:
Building Earth, a new design system for AnywhereWorks
Re-designing Vocal's homepage based on customer insights
Building a multi-site platform for AusCycling
Contributing to the creation of Atlassian AtlasKit design System
Designing Breville's HACCP Manager app for syncing cooking data over BLE
Building the FOSS project Keystone and maintain its community
For this particular role, day to day job will involve:
Leading the UX and product design process for AI-powered web and mobile apps, from discovery and research to interface and interaction design.
Interviewing users to understand their mental models, behaviours, wants, and needs.
Conduct user and industry research to identify key business needs, pain points, and opportunities.
Define clear product requirements based on client overall objectives and user flows that align with business goals.
Undertake continuous analysis of user requirements throughout the product development process.
Lead the functional design of the SaaS platform, combining product thinking with UX best practices.
Design work from the initial UX through to detailed UI.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-level UX designs to guide development.
Work closely with engineering, client and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and high-quality user experience.
Own the product roadmap; set scope, strategic milestones, and delivery timelines.
Prioritise features and enhancements based on user impact and commercial value.
