About the role
Join the SPRINGWOOD News agency team as a casual Sales Assistant in our Northern/ Springwood store. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing retail business, where you'll provide outstanding customer service and contribute to the overall success of the store.
What you'll be doing
* Greet and assist customers with professionalism and a friendly demeanour
* Serving on lotto
* Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently
* Maintain store presentation standards by restocking shelves, tidying displays, and ensuring the store is clean and tidy
* Provide recommendations and advice to customers on products and services
* Handle cash and other payment methods with care and diligence
* Support the store team with other tasks as required
What we're looking for
* Previous experience in a customer service or retail role, having had lottery experience would be a great benefit, with a genuine passion for providing excellent customer experiences
* A well groomed, enthusiastic, honest, reliable, and loyal employee
* Willingness to work, and not be standing around chatting and socialising with family members and friends
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and accurately
* Must be able to open and close shops
* Must be used to fast pace and thinking outside the box. Problem solving skills.
* A positive, friendly, and helpful attitude, is a definite must, with a willingness to learn and grow within the team
* Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including Saturdays if needed.
