Debating Coach - Casual - Vacancy Details
Haileybury is seeking an experienced, capable and energetic Debating Coach to support the School's debating program across various Haileybury Campuses, by coaching and mentoring assigned teams. This casual position offers the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Debating to make a meaningful impact on students' debating journey.
Days/Hours are:
* Mondays & Thursday afternoons at City campus
* Tuesday 1:15pm - 2:00pm Keysborough
* Friday 1:15pm - 2:00pm Berwick
* Tuesday 1:15pm - 2:00pm Brighton
Please note it is a requirement to attend after hour competitions at nearby schools. Date/Hours can be discussed during the interview stage.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coach and mentor assigned debating teams, providing weekly training and feedback.
* Prepare students for competition rounds.
* Attend scheduled debates and support students during competition nights.
* Collaborate with Heads of Debating to ensure consistency across the program.
* Assist with administrative tasks.
* Support the sign-in and sign-out process for external stakeholders on debate nights, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to child safety protocols.
