About the role
As Business and Agri (B&A) Credit Risk Lead and reporting to Head Of First Line Credit Risk Management you will lead a team that provides first line credit support to the Business and Agri division and assist the business with the delivery of in-business programs. You will work collaboratively with business units and second line functions to ensure effective management of credit risk policies and processes whilst ensuring optimum returns for the Bank.
In particular you'll get to
Deliver business insights with the provision of empirical risk data critical analysis and written advice to support prudent credit risk management credit risk strategy and optimisation of business outcomes
Be a member of a number of Group and business risk committees and proactively contribute with written and verbal insights in relation in credit risk policy governance and compliance
Provide strong leadership and promote a strong risk culture including leading developing and motivating a small team
This is a 6-month secondment opportunity ideally located at one of our corporate offices in Melbourne Adelaide Sydney or Bendigo but open to other locations for the right candidates.
About you
To be successful you will have:
Demonstrated relevant banking experience in particular in credit risk management strategy modelling and policy
Excellent analytical skills with the ability run analytical functions and provide relevant insights
Strong understanding of credit risk regulations and risk & compliance frameworks
Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to write and present insightful reports and recommendations
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and advise across a range of stakeholders and demonstrated experience in motivating and developing a small team
Relevant Tertiary qualification in Finance or business-related degrees ideally with a quantitative component. Postgrad and professional qualifications highly desirable
