A well-established manufacturing business is seeking an experienced QHSE Manager to take ownership of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental functions within a busy production environment.
This is a highly hands‐on role suited to someone who enjoys being on the shop floor as well as leading and developing a small quality team. The successful candidate will manage two Quality Inspectors and a Quality Engineer, while driving continuous improvement across quality systems, manufacturing processes and product development.
Key Responsibilities of QHSE Manager
* Lead and manage the QHSE function across the manufacturing operation
* Maintain and develop the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
* Work closely with production, engineering and product development teams to ensure quality standards are met
* technical support relating to welding, fabrication and manufacturing processes
* Oversee quality inspection and testing activities, including supplier and internal audits
* Support product and process improvement initiatives across the business
* Promote a strong health, safety and environmental culture across the site
Candidate Requirements of a QHSE Manager
* Strong background in manufacturing or heavy engineering environments
* Experience with welding, fabrication and flux‐based processes
* Solid understanding of ISO 9001 quality systems
* Exposure to manufacturing engineering and product development
* NDT knowledge or experience would be beneficial
* Metallurgical training or understanding would be highly advantageous
* Proven experience leading or mentoring quality personnel

Salary: £16.00 - 18.50 per hour + + 25% Shift Uplift
