About the role
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Management Accountant to join our Finance team and support a wide range of strategic and operational finance functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering value through accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and continuous process improvement.
Key Accountabilities
* Management Accounting - Preparation and review of monthly Head Office Profit & Loss (P&L), including journal entries and Balance Sheet reconciliations
* Forecasting - Preparation of Head Office monthly forecasts and consolidation with Business Units (BU) into total company forecasts
* Management Reporting - Reporting monthly Head Office P&L results to relevant cost centre managers
* Group Reporting - Assisting in the preparation and submission of monthly consolidated actuals and forecasts to NEC Japan
* Annual Budgeting - Preparing the annual Head Office budget, consolidating with BUs, and applying common cost allocations
* Audit and adhoc projects - responding to audit requests and engagement in adhoc projects as needed
Professional Experience
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Strong technical accounting skills and a solid understanding of end-to-end financial processes
* Proven experience in management accounting and corporate reporting, ideally within a large corporate environment
* A sound working knowledge of accounting software, with a preference for experience in SAP
* Familiarity with business intelligence tools, ideally TM1
* A minimum of 5 years of management accounting experience in a medium-to-large organisation
* A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* CPA or CA qualified (or currently working towards it)
* Strong understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, and forecasting
* High attention to detail and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* Proficiency in Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar)
