Sorell Doctors is a family-oriented practice committed to providing quality and friendly service to all patients and their families in the Sorell area.
We are currently looking for a Medical Receptionist to join our friendly, supportive and experienced team at Sorell Doctors. The successful candidate will need to be highly motivated with a sound background in customer service and be able to adapt to an ever-changing environment and industry.
This role is open to those seeking a Permanent Part Time or Casual position!
Daily tasks and responsibilities will include:
* Excellent customer service – you will be the first point of contact for our patients, in person and on the phone.
* Maintaining confidentiality while managing patient records.
* Processing payments, Medicare and third-party claims and reconciliations
* Effective management of patient appointment types
* General administration and daily office duties
* Duties as required by Doctors and the Practice Manager

* Professional, friendly, confident, and courteous manner
* High work ethic
* Good availability across Monday to Friday business hours
* Ability to work under pressure, multi-task, and prioritise
* Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Proficient computer skills are essential with a knowledge of medical software including Best Practice desirable
* Previous Medical Reception experience would be an advantage however not essential
* Enthusiasm, willingness, and ability to learn and retain information
