Maintenance Team Lead Opportunity
This is a critical leadership role at a high-output manufacturing site undergoing transformation.
As a Trade Qualified Electrician or Mechanical Fitter, you will oversee a day shift team of multi-skilled trades responsible for breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and safety-critical work.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the day shift maintenance team across electrical and mechanical disciplines.
Coordinate breakdown responses and deliver preventative maintenance across the site.
Ensure task ownership, smooth shift handovers, and full CMMS utilisation for accurate task tracking.
Enforce WHS standards, including isolations, LOTO procedures, and contractor compliance.
Mentor trades and apprentices, set daily expectations, and drive the pace of work.
Collaborate with Production and Projects teams to improve uptime and asset reliability.
About You:
You are a qualified trades leader with a strong presence on the floor, able to stay calm under pressure, and committed to lifting standards through people, process, and performance.
Proven experience supervising trades in manufacturing, production, or industrial settings is required.
A strong WHS mindset and understanding of safe systems of work are essential.
Familiarity with CMMS, shift logs, or other task-tracking tools is beneficial.
Experience in shift-based work or 24/7 operations is desirable.
Solid communication skills and the ability to lead from the front are necessary.
