Our client is a high-performing, entrepreneurial volume home builder with a strong presence in the NSW detached housing market. Backed by a dynamic leadership team, they've have seen some astronomical growth over the last 4 years scaling from 165 annual sales to a forecasted 900+ in FY25/26. With major investment in tech and new product innovation - including future expansion into medium density - the business continues to attract top talent across operations, sales, drafting, estimating and construction.
The Role:
This newly vacated Estimating Manager position is a key leadership role in the business, created due to an internal promotion. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of five Sydney-based Estimators and two offshore Estimators (soon to be three), covering both sales and production estimating.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leading and coaching the estimating team, uplifting performance, setting standards, and driving accountability
* Managing workload and priorities across both sales and production streams
* Partnering with internal stakeholders across sales, operations, drafting and procurement to ensure accurate and timely estimates
* Contributing to strategic initiatives including automation, systems integration and medium density product rollout
* Ensuring estimates are aligned with company policies, contract inclusions, and margin protection
* Leading team development, succession planning, and future team structure (senior/lead estimators, offshore expansion)
About You:
You're a confident and driven estimating leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-focused environments. You bring:
* Proven experience managing estimating teams in residential volume home building
* Strong leadership and coaching skills - comfortable leading team meetings, managing performance, and giving feedback
* Advanced estimating capability using Framework, Databuild or similar
* High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
* Adaptability and resilience in high-change environments
* Commercial acumen and cross-functional collaboration skills
