Metro North Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Health Practitioner – Safety and Quality Officer to join the multidisciplinary Safety and Quality Unit at STARS. This is a fantastic opportunity to influence clinical governance, lead safety and quality initiatives, and support high‐performing teams across a modern, digital health environment.
About the role
In this high‐impact role, you will provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and advice on patient safety and quality initiatives across STARS, the Oral Health Centre (OHC), and the Virtual Emergency Care Service (VECS).
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
* Practice in accordance with the code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting clinical practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
* Consult, negotiate and engage with staff, at all levels of the organisation and across MNH, to facilitate safety and quality activities and strengthen systems of clinical governance, including the development, and implementation with clinical protocols, pathways, guidelines, policies and procedures.
* Practise collaboratively within the interprofessional health care team to promote the safety, security and personal integrity of individuals and groups.
* Comply with legislation and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination policies
