We are seeking skilled individuals to fill the role of a transportation expert. The ideal candidate will have experience in operating heavy machinery, traffic management, and site supervision.
The role involves working as part of a high-performing team based in regional areas of New South Wales. You will be involved in varied site work ranging from equipment operation and manual labor to site supervision, quality assurance, and traffic management.
* Operate MR or HR class vehicles to transport crew, plant, materials, and equipment
* Conduct traffic control and implement Traffic Management Plans where required
* Install, replace, and maintain road signage, barriers and linemarking in line with work plans
* Perform general laboring duties such as site preparation, material handling, and cleanup
* Operate a range of heavy and light plant and machinery on worksites
* Execute road and bridge construction and maintenance works, including bitumen laying, pothole patching, concreting, and structural repairs
* Carry out bridge-specific maintenance including repairs to steel, timber, and concrete elements
* Undertake formwork, falsework, and timber structures for bridge works and civil infrastructure
* Travel with crews to regional and remote sites, ensuring safe transport and job delivery
* Supervise small work crews or contractors onsite as required
* Maintain daily safety and operational records including pre-starts, SWMS, and plant logs
* Manage stock and materials at depot locations, including issuing and receiving tools, PPE, and equipment
* Provide rail protection and lookout services in ARTC corridors, ensuring strict adherence to rail safety protocols
* Support the maintenance of traffic signalling systems and associated infrastructure
* Apply HSEQ frameworks across all tasks, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and promoting safety
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in infrastructure, bridgeworks, roadworks, motorway, civil construction or maintenance
* MR, HR or MR licence (desirable for driver/operator roles)
* Competency tickets for plant operation, traffic control, and Workers on Foot are advantageous
* Strong awareness of workplace safety and compliance
* Physically fit, reliable, and willing to work in changing outdoor conditions
* Able to work independently or in teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
* Some roles require camping away from the depot (LAHA and Accommodation provided)
* For technical and supervisor roles: experience in quality assurance, site supervision, or trade qualifications is highly regarded
* Full PPE required to ensure safety
* Must have full Australian working rights - Citizen, PR, or valid long-term visa holders only
* A satisfactory police check is required (can commence before clearance, subject to termination if adverse findings arise)
