Our Client is an ASX listed resource company which is developing its 100% owned Butcherbird Project to produce high value, high-purity manganese: a commodity powering the technology revolution. The Butcherbird Deposit is Australia's largest onshore manganese resource, containing more than 180 million tonnes at 10.8% manganese in JORC resources. Our client is proud to be a key player in producing materials which advance battery technology, wind and solar power generation, and associated grid electrical storage systems. Our projects may also produce manganese ore for use in steelmaking. The company has a number of exploration projects with potential for other high-value elements including cobalt, copper, nickel and gold. The unique processing technique employed at Butcherbird also reduces the operation's potential carbon footprint. Our plans to incorporate renewable energy dovetails with our "cleaner, greener" approach, and meets consumer demand for responsible material sourcing.
We currently have 2 brand new positions for Operator/Maintainers to work a 2/2 FIFO roster from Perth to our site in the Pilbara. Our workforce is small and you'll soon know everyone on site We operate our business as a team and leave hierarchy for the big miners. You'll have a broad remit of work and be valued for what you contribute.
**Essential skill set**:
- Fixed Plant Mechanical, Fitter & Turner trade qualifications.
- First Aid Certificate (Current).
- Drivers Licence - "C" Class (Current).
- High Risk Licence (Current)
- Working at Heights.
- Enter and Work in Confined Spaces
- Gas Test Atmospheres
- Low Voltage Rescue and CPR.
- Site production operation and maintenance experience (preferably processing facilities).
- High level of communication skills - verbal and written.
- Strong computer skills and literacy, including O365 and SAP.
- Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry.
- Interpretation of Engineering, P&ID & Isometric drawing
**Desirable skill set**:
- Cert IV Training and Assessment.
- Diagnostic training in hydraulic fault finding and pump overhauls
- Relevant Certificates of Competency in materials handling, Hiab, Dogman, Forklift, EWP, Mobile Crane, Overhead Crane, Fuel and Lube trucks and Ancillary equipment.
- Certificate lll Metalliferous Mining Operations (Processing).
- Section 44 Training.
- Drivers Licence - Heavy Rigid (Current).
- Forklift/Telehandler ticket.
- High Risk Work Licence including Elevated Work Platform (EWP) operation.
- Skid Steer Loader ticket.
**Relevant Experience**
- Working knowledge of industrial operations.
- Experience in medium to large processing plant commissioning experience
- Work in remote areas in a Fly In / Fly Out role
