We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Modelling Actuary to join our Life & Health Subsidiary in Sydney.
About The Role
Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief Actuary, this permanent role is part of our Actuarial team. As a Modelling Actuary, you will support actuarial modelling, financial reporting and capital modelling processes, while contributing to broader actuarial projects and system improvements.
You can look forward to
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of actuarial models and infrastructure across the full lifecycle
- Supporting Internal Capital Model runs and related processes
- Assisting with quarterly financial reporting, including RiskAgility FM modelling
- Identifying opportunities to improve models, processes and overall efficiency
- Working on actuarial and business‐led projects, including strategic initiatives
- Collaborating across teams to strengthen data quality and systems
You come equipped with
- FIAA (or equivalent) or nearly qualified with minimum 5 years of experience in the Life insurance industry desirable
- Actuarial modelling software experience, ideally with RiskAgility FM
- Experience with coding in R and SQL
- Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritise effectively
- Clear and effective communication both written and verbal
