Project Engineer - WA - Perth or Regional

Established in 2001, Guidera O'Connor (GO) is a privately owned and respected design and construct contractor and have a successful track record delivering water and wastewater treatment projects to the Australian Water Industry. Our clients include SA Water and Water Corporation.
**Our Opportunity**:
Due to growth, we are seeking expressions of interest from Electrical or Mechanical Project Engineers who seek meaningful work in the water and wastewater industry.
As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting the Project Manager to deliver the project in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with contract documentation with a focus on the engineering components of the project. The role includes a combination of design work, procurement, site management, and completion of all documentation.
**More specifically you will**:
- Assist the Project Manager to deliver projects in a safe and environmentally sound manner
- Ensure that the project is constructed in accordance with contract and legislative requirements
- Carry out design activities for the project as required
- Procure equipment at competitive prices to meet project requirements
- Assist the Project Manager in the preparation of all project documentation
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with all stakeholders
- Maintain and manage Quality Assurance requirements throughout the project
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
- Experience as a Project Engineer specifically in the water and wastewater industry
- A relevant qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Strong knowledge of the construction industry coupled with highly developed engineering skills
- An ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines
- An ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders
