What we're looking for
We're seeking someone with strong business and data analysis capability, excellent administrative and financial skills, and a natural talent for improving processes. You'll bring experience interpreting complex information, preparing high‐quality reports and supporting informed decision‐making. To thrive in this role, you'll be confident managing competing priorities, comfortable working both independently and with diverse internal stakeholders, and committed to accuracy, timeliness and continuous improvement. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as you'll be building relationships with staff, contractors, service providers and cross‐departmental teams. Experience in local government environments, procurement processes, contract administration and corporate systems will be highly regarded. A Certificate IV in Business Administration (or equivalent) and a current QLD driver's licence are required.
What you'll be doing
* Coordinating and managing library project processes, ensuring effective administration, financial monitoring and customer‐focused outcomes.
* Leading business, service and process improvement work through audits, research, financial analysis and data evaluation.
* Preparing high‐quality reports, briefing notes, business cases and financial summaries.
* Delivering responsive operational and administrative support to the Libraries Management and Operations Teams.
* Managing procurement, invoicing, work orders, corporate cards, job costing, budget tracking, room bookings and capital expenditure processes.
* Supporting contract development and administration, ensuring compliance with procurement policy and performance standards.
* Contributing to performance systems, reporting frameworks and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintaining accurate recordkeeping, data integrity and document management.
* Collaborating with stakeholders to support operational objectives.
