Family Support Specialist Role
The Family Support Specialist plays a pivotal role in our Intensive Family Support Service. This program focuses on providing comprehensive support to vulnerable families with children and young people at risk of entering the statutory child protection system.
We work collaboratively with families to identify and address their presenting needs, providing intensive interventions tailored to their unique circumstances.
* Develop strategies for engaging families experiencing domestic and family violence, prioritising their safety and well-being.
* Conduct home visits, assessing safety concerns and ensuring the protection of children.
* Create and maintain case plans, setting goals with families to address child protection concerns.
Requirements:
* A university degree in human services or a related field, or current enrollment.
* A working knowledge of domestic violence issues and family dynamics associated with child protection risks.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with families.
