We look to hire the best and then help you to become even better.Technician- MechanicalWe are seeking experienced Technician- Mechanical to join our dynamic workshop team based in Perth.DescriptionDeliver first-class service to our customersComplete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel productsDiagnose and repair Cummins enginesEngine rebuilding and reconditioningEnsure adherence to all relevant Health Safety & Environmental policies, procedures and legislation and report any issues / incidents to the SupervisorComplete required documentation, such as service worksheets, warranty claims, quality forms or business system input screens.Education, Licenses, CertificationsWA driver's licenceAustralian working rightsMechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light vehicle mechanic or plant mechanic (light/heavy/engine reconditioning)Experience as a technicianin the service and maintenance of heavy diesel productsIdeally possess engine repair, rebuild or reconditioning experience.Safety Focused and the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAdditional Information:Flexible roster options - 9 day fortnight, 8 day fortnight or 4 days per weekCompetitive hourly rate for applicants with proven experienceOvertime penaltiesFurther training and career development opportunitiesParticipation in an annual variable compensation (bonus) programIncome Protection continuance insuranceDiscounts withselect private health insurancePC software/hardware, and a range of vehiclesAnnual remuneration reviewsSafety equipment/PPE and uniforms provided and a range of personal and skilled benefitsRESPONSIBILITIESTo be successful in this role you will need the following:Communicates effectively: Develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.Ensures accountability: Hold self and others accountable to meet commitments.Nimble learning: Actively learn through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.Plans and aligns: Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.Health and Safety Fundamentals: Champion and model proactive health and safety behaviors.Diagnostics Application: Translate customer complaints to develop troubleshooting plans; troubleshoot issues using guided workflows, procedures, specialized equipment, and computer software.Electrical Knowledge: Demonstrate knowledge of Cummins and industry standards on working with low and/or high voltage.Electronic Service Tool Application: Identify and utilize the appropriate electronic tool set for service events.Mechanical Knowledge: Apply mechanical principles and theories using appropriate tools and procedures.Product Repair and Maintenance: Repair and maintain mechanical/electrical products following guidelines.Service Documentation: Create and verify customer, equipment, and technical information.Technical Escalation: Obtain product technical issue information and utilize available resources.Values differences: Recognize the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization.QUALIFICATIONSEducation, Licenses, Certifications:Apprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)Vocational diploma from relevant technical institutionLocally valid driving permit (Preferred)Experience:Minimal level of workshop experience requiredBasic level knowledge of and/or experience with engine productsJob ServiceOrganization Cummins Inc.Role Category On-siteJob Type TechnicianReqID 2418855Relocation Package Yes
