About the role The Waste Contracts Coordinator leads the development, delivery and oversight of Council’s waste-related contracts and small capital works. This role is responsible for managing contractors, small infrastructure upgrades, and community expectations around waste services. Benefits Competitive salary (negotiable according to skills and experience) Relocation support provided by the council Duties Manage waste contracts and service agreements, ensuring performance and compliance. Lead contractor engagement and performance, including site supervision and relationship building. Oversee small infrastructure works—such as bin replacements and minor upgrades to waste assets. Collect, manage, and report waste data to support council planning and meet state reporting requirements. Plan, forecast and monitor budget and expenditure in line with procurement guidelines. Support public engagement and education around waste and sustainability. Skills & experience Tertiary qualifications in sustainability, environmental management, procurement, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in in managing waste contracts Strong project and contract management capability, with the ability to work independently Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data and reporting tools.
