Job Title: Database Systems Specialist
Our organization is seeking an experienced professional to fill a crucial role in the management of our database systems. This position involves overseeing the administration, maintenance, and optimization of our IBM DB2 databases in production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
* Database Administration: Ensure the smooth operation of our DB2 databases, including LUW and z/OS, in various production settings.
* Performance Tuning: Conduct thorough performance analysis and implement optimal solutions for high-availability financial systems.
* Backup and Recovery: Implement effective backup and recovery strategies using DB2 native tools and enterprise solutions to ensure business continuity.
* CLOUD Hosting: Provide support for AWS cloud hosting, including database migration, deployment, and integration with RDS, EC2, and S3 services.
* Security: Implement robust security measures to safeguard against potential threats, ensuring compliance with APRA, PCI DSS, and relevant financial regulations.
* Stakeholder Communication: Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including infrastructure, application, and security teams, to ensure seamless collaboration and data sharing.
To excel in this role, you will need extensive experience in administering IBM DB2 databases, expertise in database performance tuning and optimization, and knowledge of backup and disaster recovery planning using DB2 native tools and enterprise solutions.
