Green Light offers an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer to join one of our delivery partners based in Melbourne. This position will end‐to‐end consultation from requirements, solution design through to implementation, working closely with internal stakeholders to successfully deliver capability and maintain high availability.
Responsibilities
* Experience across complex network environments specifically on the Cisco platform
* Strong expertise with network optimisation technologies – Cisco, SD WAN, Riverbed etc
* Routing, switching and Cisco FTD and Fortinet firewalls, LAN/WAN & managed network environments
* Experience with wireless solutions - Meraki and Cisco Wireless
* Good written communication, interpersonal & problem‐solving skills
* Strong technical knowledge with solid deployment experience using carrier protocols i.e. BGP, MPLS, OSPF, EIGRP and QoS
* Analyse and assess security incidents and elevate to appropriate internal teams for additional assistance
* Facilitate implementation of designated framework and relevant procedures
Requirements
* 10+ years professional experience as a Network Engineer and data centre technologies
* Experience providing design, implementation and configuration of networking products in SD LAN, WAN & Internet services environments
* Understanding of F5 (LTM, GTM, ASM would be advantageous)
* Knowledge of cloud computing orchestrations and application architectures
* Proven experience planning and delivering significant network solutions and integrating into large infrastructure project
* Networking: In‐depth understanding of L2/L3 networking protocols including switching technologies, routing fundamentals, IP subnetting and Address Management, firewalling, load balancers, Security trust zones, Management Networks, VPN and network design
