Kalo Law Group is a boutique law firm located in Townsville, North Queensland. We are seeking a criminal lawyer to join our team.The role:Providing legal advice and representation to clients, including taking client instructions, drafting correspondence, negotiating with police prosecutions, etc.;Preparing briefs to counsel and instructing counsel;Appearing and representing clients in all Queensland criminal courts, including Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts and Court of Appeal;Undertaking legal research and drafting legal documents, including submissions.The ideal candidate will have:A passion for criminal law and advocacy;Excellent communication skills, reliability, and personable nature;Experience with practice management software (Leap, Smokeball, etc.);Experience in criminal law, including the ability to independently manage a mixed file load of summary and higher court matters.
