We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper / Payroll Officer to join their supportive head office team. This role can offer someone either 4 days or 5 days per week with flexible working hours. Reporting to the Finance Manager you will be responsible for:
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for approximately 250 employees on a weekly cycle
Process and verify timesheets, ensuring accurate data entry into the payroll system
Interpret awards and enterprise bargaining agreements (EBAs) to ensure correct application of pay conditions
Maintain and update employee records and personnel details
Assist with superannuation processing and payroll tax reporting for month-end requirements
Work collaboratively with a supportive head office team
Accounts Receivable and Account Management – processing payments, banking and allocations
Perform all duties on site in the office (4 or 5 days per week), with convenient onsite parking available
To be successful in this role:
This role will suit an experienced Bookkeeper with sound skills in Payroll / Payroll officer with proven working experience ideally within the construction industry
Have the ability to work autonomously and within a team
Have strong attention to detail
Strong customer service skills and exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
