Quality Assurance Officer
This role involves developing and implementing inspection and test plans to ensure quality control across various production tasks. The Quality Assurance Officer will be responsible for auditing work packs and technical documentation to guarantee compliance with established policies.
About the Role
* Develop and implement inspection and test plans to allocate appropriate objective quality evidence.
* Audit review of completed work packs and technical documentation to support certification.
* Conduct 2nd party witnessing of non-SUBSAFE production tasks to ensure adherence to standards.
* Carry out NACE paint inspections to guarantee quality and safety.
* Liaise with internal departments, including Engineering and Production to facilitate seamless collaboration.
* Manage allocated resources based on workload priorities to optimize efficiency.
* Provide coaching and feedback to production personnel to enhance their skills and knowledge.
About You
To be considered for this permanent full-time opportunity, you should possess expertise across the following key areas:
* Desirable qualifications: AICIP; CSWIP/Cert 10; Survey/Corrosion Technology and a Machinist trade background.
* Previous experience in defence engineering or similar industries.
* Mechanical background.
* Demonstrated experience in reviewing quality requirements and auditing technical documentation.
* Ability to work in confined spaces.
* Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
* Familiarity with Collins Class systems and SUBSAFE policies.
Requirements
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. You must also be able to access protected US defence technology.
