We have an exciting opportunity for a new group of energetic Education Guides to join the team and play a key role in inspiring and engaging our school and adult visitors by delivering various school education and life-long learning programs at this Museum celebrating global Jewish excellence and everydayness through an Australian prism.
Key Activities
Delivering the nominated Museum school education program to students with the support of other education volunteers and the Museums Education team.

Being available to speak to students, teachers and adults in the Museum.
Supporting our team with preparing for the school groups and tidying when they have departed.
Guiding students through the St Kilda Synagogue.
The Jewish Museum offers a challenging and engaging volunteer role as part of a highly respected Museum education team. Participants receive professional development sessions in aesthetic education, Jewish literacy, and other topics; regular refresher and networking opportunities to develop your skills and experience; the chance to positively represent Judaism and the Museum's work and to enjoy social gatherings and build lasting friendships with the dynamic Museum team.
You will also receive regular giveaways to ticketed Museum events, up to 15% discount on selected merchandise in the Museum shop, free access to the MIRKA exhibition when accompanying a paying guest, and a reference after volunteering regularly for a reasonable period of time.
