WHO WE ARE
St Agnes' Catholic Parish has been serving the Port Macquarie community since 1878, providing compassionate support across all life stages. With over 700 staff across aged care, community and family services, education, ministry, and pastoral care, we are a values-driven organisation committed to upholding the dignity, wellbeing, and needs of our community.
ABOUT EMMAUS VILLAGE
Emmaus Village is a unique residential community for those living with dementia. This innovatively designed small-household model, originally developed in Europe, provides villagers with familiar surroundings. Our purpose is to empower villagers to live their best life with freedom, independence, and dignity.
Our 94 villagers live in 12 fully functioning, domestic style houses of 7-8 people, where daily life includes cooking, shopping, gardening, and shared activities. At the heart of the village is our vibrant community hub, featuring a café, shop, cinema, beauty salon, and wellness centre, while the surrounding gardens feature a vegetable garden, BBQ areas, and an activity shed for villagers to enjoy.
At Emmaus Village, we believe every day should be meaningful and fulfilling, and every villager deserves to feel at home.
