Physiotherapist Role in Schools
We are seeking a skilled physiotherapist to support students with disabilities in schools. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on children's lives and develop your skills in paediatric physiotherapy.
Job Description
As a school-based physiotherapist, you will work closely with teachers, school leaders, and other service providers to provide physiotherapy services to students with disabilities. You will use your knowledge and skills to enable students to participate fully in all aspects of their school experience, including positioning in the classroom, physical education, and extracurricular activities.
* Main Responsibilities:
* Support students to achieve their potential using evidence-based contemporary physiotherapy knowledge
* Collaborate and liaise with school leaders, teachers, and other service providers to develop and implement physiotherapy services
* Develop and implement best-practice assessment, program planning, intervention, and monitoring strategies for students with disability
* Provide consultative physiotherapy services and resources to assist school leaders, staff, parents, and other professional peers
* Participate in quality improvement and research activities enhancing physiotherapy services in schools
* Actively participate in professional development activities and clinical supervision to improve and ensure high-quality services are delivered

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Possession of a degree in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution or equivalent formal qualifications
* Current registration with the Physiotherapist Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency)
* Current citizenship, resident, or visa status required to be eligible to work in Australia
