The Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager role is critical in safeguarding employee well-being within an organization.
As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for creating, implementing and maintaining health, safety and environmental programs to ensure compliance with all related laws and company policies. Successful performance in this role will be demonstrated by ensuring that all employees, contractors and visitors work in a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create and implement HSE policies, procedures and standards that meet legislative requirements and company guidelines
* Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures
* Develop and maintain comprehensive HSE reports and metrics to track and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs
* Provide training and support for employees, contractors and visitors to ensure adherence to HSE policies and regulations
* Develop emergency response plans and participate in regular drills and exercises
* Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes and develop corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
* Maintain close relationships with regulatory agencies and industry groups to stay up-to-date on new regulations
