Ellerslie Farms Group is an agribusiness that operates one of the largest poultry farms in Australia.
We employ over 400 people across our farming operations based at Millmerran, an hour west of Toowoomba in Queensland. Our operations are vertically integrated, covering the entire supply chain from grain production, chick rearing, stock feed milling, poultry production, and egg grading. Our layer systems include Cage, Cage-free, Free Range, and Organic. We have in-house service teams that coordinate bird vaccination, bird relocation, veterinary, and nutrition services.

In our current environment of expansion and change, we are excited to grow our Maintenance Team. The applicant will work with the existing team under the guidance of our technical support staff, assisting the Construction and Services Team to meet business goals.

About the Role ...
You will work with the existing team, collaborate with Divisional/Departmental Managers, and others as necessary to perform tasks.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support Maintenance Team with all company production equipment and facilities across all sites, including installation, relocation, modification, and maintenance to ensure efficient operation and minimal downtime.
2. Assist with daily machine preparation tasks prior to production.
3. Maintain high quality control standards across all sites in accordance with company policies.
4. Ensure safety and promote safe working practices in all work areas.
About You ...
Essential requirements of the role :
* Boilermaker Qualification
* Driver's Licence
* Construction Card (Blue or White)
Desirable requirements of the role :
* Ability to plan and manage workload proactively
* Ability to work well within a small team
* Robust physical fitness for highly physical tasks
* A positive attitude and cooperative work ethic
* Assist contractors as needed
* Operate hand and power tools
* Accountability for work completed
* Ability to work independently
* Reliability and flexibility to work extra hours
* Effective communication skills
* Willingness to participate in training for compliance
* Basic mechanical knowledge for inspecting and troubleshooting vehicles and equipment
Additional requirements:
* A passion for your trade and interest in rural work
* Sufficient literacy and numeracy skills
* Valid driver's license and own transport
* Strong physical fitness for working in various environments and weather conditions
