The Role
To provide high-quality, evidence-informed psychological services within a community adolescent forensic mental health team in the Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN). Providing mental health assessment, intervention and care coordination by incorporating discipline specific recommendations to the identification and formulation for young people and their families who are experiencing crisis or mental health complexity.

The position works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and a range of internal and external stakeholders to enhance the assessment, diagnosis, case-formulation and treatment of young people with complex mental health issues involved in the criminal justice system. The Safeguard Service team which is community based and will provide rapid, mobile, intensive and flexible short term delivery of skilled evidence based interventions to improve outcomes for young people in contact with the criminal justice system.

Our location:
The Justice Health Olympic Park
office is located at 10 Herb Elliot Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park. Designed for inter-departmental communication and collaborative working, the office provides large open spaces and an abundance of natural light. An array of restaurants and café options are a short walk away.

Easy access is provided via public transport including buses, trains, and ferries, as well as road access via the M4 and Parramatta Road via Homebush Bay Drive. 35 km of bicycle paths surround the site, and bicycle storage and shower amenities are available in the office as well.

Salary & Benefits
Your annual salary will be $113,617 - $138,482 p.a plus superannuation. You will also have access to a number of benefits:

Ready to Apply?
The first step is to submit your resume and answers to the following targeted questions:

* Full registration with the Psychology Board of Australia with a Masters degree (6th year) or higher in Clinical Psychology or some other relevant endorsed area of psychology (e.g. Forensic Psychology or Clinical Neuropsychology) that is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council.
* Provide an example of where you have demonstrated strong clinical formulation skills and leadership to advocate for a consumer with complex mental health needs within a multidisciplinary team.
* Describe how you have managed high workload demands and competing priorities in your clinical practice.
* Outline your experience using risk assessment tools with young people and how this informs your clinical decisions.
