Established fishing company working the Australian Fishing Zones, catching predominantly crustaceans seeks the following full‑time fishing industry positions: Ships Master, Ships Engineer, Master Fisher, Ships Officer, Deck Hands & Fishing Hands.
This company maintains a drug & alcohol‑free workplace; employees may be subject to random drug & alcohol testing. This is a condition of employment. You will be based in the region but may be required to work in other locations subject to operational requirements.
Requirements for this role:

Roles and Experience Requirements
* Ships Master: Minimum 5 years relevant experience, required tickets/registration.
* Ships Engineer (Fishing): Minimum 5 years relevant experience, required tickets/registration.
* Master Fisher: Minimum 5 years relevant experience, required tickets/registration.
* Ships Officer: Minimum 5 years relevant experience, required tickets/registration.
* Deck Hands & Fishing Hands: No less than 1 year Australian relevant work experience, preferably on a commercial fishing vessel; sea‑time or log book evidence required, verifiable letters of reference acceptable.
Successful candidates should ideally have at least 5 years relevant experience in this industry sector for ranked positions. Sea time of less than 5 years may be considered based on experience.
All positions require verifiable references. Candidates should be physically strong as the role involves working on deck, often in heavy seas and cramped spaces. Ranked positions may involve managing fishing operations aboard the vessel in consultation with company owners.
You will be away from home for several days or occasionally weeks, with a typical short turnaround before returning to sea.
Salary and Benefits
Salary or percentage of catch rate will be negotiated according to qualifications, skills, experience, and performance in the same or similar occupation.
* Ship's Master: $120,000.00 or greater, subject to negotiation.
* Ships Engineer (Fishing): $72,000 to $82,000.
* Master Fisher: $75,000 to $82,000.
* Ships Officer: $72,000 to $82,000.
* Deck and Fishing Hands: $68,800 to in excess of $78,000.
All salaries include the government‑regulated superannuation guarantee.
