Role Overview
We are seeking OSHC Educators to join YMCA South Australia in the Victor Harbor Region, providing safe, supportive and engaging environments for children aged 5–12 before and after school and during school holidays.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate programs for children aged 5–12.
* Support children's social, emotional and physical wellbeing through inclusive and fun activities.
* Create a welcoming environment that builds trust with children, families and schools.
* Actively supervise and support children, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times.
* Collaborate with your team and service director to plan, evaluate and improve programs.
* Maintain accurate records and uphold regulatory, safety and safeguarding standards.
Requirements
* Diplomas and degrees in Youth Work, Social Work, Allied Health, Health, Sport and Recreation, Creative Arts, Psychology, Behavioural and Social Sciences, Disability, Community Services, and Leisure and Health accepted as first qualified.
* Certificate III or IV in Education, Care, or Disability, or successful completion of 50% of a Diploma in Education, Care, or Disability accepted as second qualified.
* Two years completed of a four‐year Teaching degree accepted as first qualified.
* ACECQA approved qualification – Cert III/IV, Diploma or higher-level (Qualified educators only).
* National Police Check issued in the last 6 months.
* DHS Working With Children Check.
* International Criminal History Record Check (if worked/lived overseas in the last 5 years).
* Certificate of completion for "Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care" Masterclass Training.
* HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in Education and Care.
* HLTAID009 CPR.
* Sound knowledge of OSHC Quality Assurance and recognised School Age Care Framework.
