Position: Import Export Manager
Role: Full-time
Salary: $78,000 per year plus Superannuation
Position Description – Import Export Manager
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify local and overseas business opportunities and developing and
· implementing business plans, marketing, operating procedures, pricing and credit
· policies including the mix of products and services to be provided and negotiating
· the conditions and terms of trade of the within the company's procedures and
policies.
· Determining the mix of products and services to be provided and negotiating
conditions of trade.
· Liaising with local and overseas suppliers and distributors about orders and
products.
· Researching regulatory and statutory requirements affecting the importing and
exporting.
· Implementing after-sales service procedures.
· Manage the movement of goods & products out of Australia in accordance with
company policy and procedure.
· Research and comply with relevant local, country and international law and process in regard to regulatory and statutory requirements affecting the importing and exporting.
· Manage the necessary documentation and online forms for the efficient, cost
effective and lawful execution of all import/export activities for the company.
· Manage financial and currency processes and transactions in accordance with
policy and statutory regulations.
· Communicate and liaise with export and import related authorities and customers and suppliers, in all relevant territories and countries as necessary to ensure efficient, positive and lawful relations, support and activities.
· Anticipate, research and report on future changes in import/export laws and in
· relevant local territory practices, and ensure such knowledge is factored into the
planning of the import/exports department's own strategy, resources and
procedures.
· Plan and implement import/export strategies and activities consistent with overall aims and requirements of the company.
To be successful in this role you must have the following skills and qualifications:
Relevant / experience: Minimum 1 years of professional experience as an Import Export Manager in Sub-continent food business.
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor's degree in international trade, logistics, or related field (e.g., Diploma in Customs Brokerage) is a plus.
Additional skills:
· Good speaking skills in the Bengali and Hindi language.
· Reliable, hardworking, strong work ethic and an ability to work as part of a team
· Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
