Welcome to Cranbourne Community Hospital

The Cranbourne Community Hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility designed to deliver high-quality healthcare closer to home for the local community. It provides a wide range of services including urgent care for non-life-threatening conditions, day surgery, specialist consultations, chronic disease management, and community health programs. By reducing demand on larger hospitals, it plays a vital role in ensuring timely, accessible, and patient-focused care for Cranbourne and surrounding suburbs.

About the Role:

Join our team as an Environmental Services Assistant (ESA) on part-time basis to work at the new Cranbourne Community Hospital.

Being part of the Support Services team, and reporting to General Services Manager, ESAs are responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, and safe hospital environment; not only for patients, but also for visitors and colleagues across Monash Health. Directly supporting patient recovery and staff safety, ESAs deliver high-quality environmental services across clinical and non-clinical areas.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

* Delivering general and detailed cleaning of wards, offices, and public areas
* Ensuring adherence to infection prevention and control protocols at all times
* Adhering to safety protocols when using cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with safety guidelines
* Managing waste removal and disposal procedures safely and responsibly
* Maintaining cleaning schedules and documentation
* Reporting maintenance or safety hazards promptly
* Collaborating with clinical and support teams to deliver service excellence
* Ensuring patient privacy and dignity at all times
* Complete relevant workplace training modules
* Distribution and collection of linen.

Position 1

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:30 am – 3:00 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 60 hours

Position 2

Days: Monday - Wednesday

Hours: 3:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 42 hours

Position 3

Days: Thursday - Saturday

Hours: 3:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 42 hours

Position 4

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 4:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 50 hours

Position 5

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:00 am – 2:30 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 60 hours

Position 6

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 5:30 pm – 11:30 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 55 hours

Position 7

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 3:00 pm – 9:30 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 60 hours

Position 8

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 4:30 pm – 11 pm

Total Hours per Fortnight: 60 hours

About You:

To ensure your success in this role, you will bring experience in environmental services within a hospital or commercial cleaning setting with strong demonstrated knowledge of infection control and hygiene practices. You are a reliable and punctual team member with great verbal and written communication skills. Whether you're work independently or as part of a team; you always follow manual handling, safety protocols, and procedural instructions.
