The Opportunity We are seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Timetabling Specialist to join a leading alternative education provider in Melbourne. This organization provides a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed learning environment for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. As an integral part of the student administration team, you will manage the complex intersection of master scheduling, staff allocation, and data integrity across multiple campuses. Key Responsibilities Master Timetable Construction: Lead the scoping, needs analysis, and construction of campus timetables to ensure optimal resource allocation. System Integration: Manage the "Golden Triangle" of school systems, ensuring seamless data flow between EdVal, Compass, and Canvas. Daily Operations: Manage the daily organization (Daily Org) within EdVal, including staff covers and monitoring. Data Integrity: Identify and eliminate information silos to ensure student records are accurate and compliant with Victorian educational standards. Strategic Support: Provide training to end-users and identify process improvements to enhance administrative efficiency. Required Skills & Experience Timetabling Expertise: 3 years of experience in educational timetabling, with EdVal experience being highly desirable. System Proficiency: Proven experience utilizing Student Information Systems (e.g., Compass ) and Learning Management Systems. Technical Troubleshooting: An advanced understanding of how to optimize data syncs and system automations. Education & Compliance: A Diploma or Degree in a related field is required. Personal Attributes Resilience & EQ: Ability to work effectively within a trauma-informed framework, fostering positive relationships with staff and disengaged youth. Detail-Oriented: Exceptional organizational skills with a focus on accuracy in high-pressure environments. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to navigate complex needs across multiple campus locations. Mandatory Requirements Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) or VIT Registration. National Police Check (issued within the last 6 months). Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel between Melbourne sites.
