Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for:
* Direct clinical case load management.
* Implementing evidence-based therapeutic interventions with children and adolescents.
* Developing and delivering individual, family and group therapies using a range of models and skills as a single practitioner or part of a multidisciplinary approach.
* Acting as a consultant and resource person to various agencies and the community.
* Promoting access and equity of services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people and their families.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification in Masters of Clinical Psychology or Health Psychology recognised by the PsyBA and general registration with the PsyBA, or Provisional Registration with the PsyBA.
* Clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
* Able to implement clinical assessments and interventions of a complex nature in relation to children and adolescents experiencing mental health issues, and their families using a range of theoretical models.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
* Knowledge of the theory and practice of clinical work within psychology, including group or family work.
* Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
