Public Domain Maintenance Officer

This role involves providing self-managed cleansing services to maintain and improve the public domain. Your primary responsibilities include:
* Identifying illegal dumps, litter picking, pressure washing, amenities and BBQ cleaning within the public domain.
* Undertaking various tasks required for the successful completion of the functions of the Cleansing Services team to ensure long-term management, condition and usability of assets and facilities under their care.
* Conducting inspections of the public domain and assets to ensure Council's exposure to liability is minimised.

Job Description
As the Public Domain Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for providing self-managed cleansing services that ensure Parramatta's public domain is maintained and improved to enhance the cleanliness and appearance of the city, and to promote Parramatta as Australia's next great city.
Some of your key responsibilities include:
* Identify and address any issues related to illegal dumping, litter, and poor maintenance in the public domain.
* Undertake various tasks required for the successful completion of the functions of the Cleansing Services team to ensure long-term management, condition, and usability of assets and facilities under their care.
* Conduct regular inspections of the public domain and assets to ensure Council's exposure to liability is minimised.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will also have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other teams to achieve common goals and objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* A current NSW 'C' Class Driver's License.
* A White Card.
* Previous experience working in an operational role.
* The capacity to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
* Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
* Ability to work independently.
Benefits
We offer an attractive remuneration package from $65,814- $72,473 plus 12% Superannuation.
This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, which could include the Adverse Working Conditions Level Allowance.
