We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate 2IC at our Emerson School to co-lead the OSHC program in a specialist school setting. This role is a key part of the Victorian Government’s High Intensity OSHC initiative. The service is fully funded by the Victorian Government and operates at a high staff to child ratios to appropriately meet the needs of each participant (approximately 1 educator for every 2 children). The Role: This role is full time - 38 hours a week - 10.00am - 6.00pm during term time where the role is a combination of administration hours and in service hours. Co-lead, train and guide in best practice to deliver the highest quality care for every child in care Plan and prepare child focused programs for school aged children in a specialist school setting effectively Provide children with the opportunity to explore, learn and play and have fun Maintain a high level of supervision to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants at all times Extensive training and onboarding with ongoing support Career development and progression pathways Generous resource budgets Be the face of TheirCare in your school community, creating lasting relationships along the way Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate for the 2IC role will have the following: Experience leading teams in disability, education, or community services Confidence in behavioural management for children with high and complex needs High attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrate a level of competency in utilising systems and software relevant to the role Exhibit our TheirCare values: Caring, Open and Engaged Requirements: In line with sector regulations, the following compliance documentation will be required for the role: Completed or in the process of completing an ACECQA recognised qualification, including but not limited to, studies in Teaching, Childcare or Community Services.
