Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled
Hands-On Technical Lead
who will spend
60–70% of their time coding
while also guiding a team of engineers across onsite and offshore locations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a technical environment and can drive architecture, quality, secure coding, and engineering execution—without functioning as a traditional people manager or delivery manager.
You will lead by example, design scalable solutions, implement secure and resilient microservices, and ensure engineering best practices across the team. Collaboration with product owners, architects, and distributed engineering teams is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership (Hands-On)
* Lead development by contributing 60–70% hands-on coding, problem-solving, and system design.
* Design, develop, and optimize backend services using
Java (8/11/17/21)
and
Spring Boot
.
* Define and implement
microservices architectures
, API standards, and performance improvements.
* Work closely with onsite and offshore engineers to plan, prioritize, and deliver technical work.
* Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, quality gates, and secure coding enforcement.
Cloud, DevOps & Secure Engineering
* Build and deploy cloud-native services on
AWS (Lambda, ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, IAM)
.
* Design and maintain robust
CI/CD pipelines
(GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket, etc.).
* Integrate and enforce
DevSecOps practices
, including SAST/DAST scanning.
* Champion
OWASP
, secure design principles, and compliance-focused development.
Team Collaboration & Delivery
* Coordinate with offshore tech lead to maintain alignment and delivery consistency.
* Provide technical mentoring, architecture guidance, and support to engineering teams.
* Collaborate with architects, product owners, and stakeholders to drive roadmap execution.
* Ensure high-quality deliverables through engineering standards, best practices, and automation.
Required Skills & Experience
* 7+ years
as a Senior/Lead Java Developer (or equivalent experience).
* Strong proficiency in
Java (8/11/17/21)
,
Spring Boot
,
REST APIs
, and microservices.
* Solid experience with
AWS cloud services
and cloud-native application development.
* Hands-on expertise in
secure coding
, threat mitigation, and secure SDLC.
* Strong understanding of
CI/CD pipelines
, DevOps, and automation workflows.
* Experience working with distributed teams (onsite/offshore).
* Strong communication, analytical thinking, and leadership-by-example style.
