About the Role
Thiess is on the lookout for a skilled Tyre Fitter to join our team at the Peak Downs coal mining project on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
* Remove and refit tyres as needed to keep our fleet running efficiently
* Remove and fit rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving equipment
* Perform routine tyre pressure checks and report any issues
* Access and interpret technical manuals, bulletins, and digital resources
* Take proactive steps to prevent equipment issues and raise any concerns through the right channels
* Work in alignment with site procedures and safety standards

Qualifications
* Experience working as a tyre fitter in open cut mining in the maintenance of a heavy earthmoving tyre fleet
* Hold current AUR* Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011
