About the role
Mater Health is looking for an Allied Health Professional – MYAHC to join our team. This permanent, part‐time (30 hours per week) role will be based at our South Brisbane Campus. The role works closely with allied health, psychiatry and medical team members to ensure clients receive holistic, trauma‐informed and developmentally appropriate care. It is primarily in the inpatient unit, delivering comprehensive interventions in one‐on‐one and group settings, with opportunity to work in outpatient spaces supporting young adults with co‐occurring mental health and chronic conditions such as type 1 diabetes.
About you
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
* Psychologist is highly desirable
* Qualifications relevant to the profession
* Experience facilitating therapeutic groups (desirable)
* A passion for working with adolescents and young adults
* Demonstrated knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of mental health interventions for adolescents and young adults
* Proven experience and ability to work effectively in a multi‐disciplinary team, establish priorities, exercise initiative, and deliver outputs within agreed timeframes
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability and experience in establishing and developing key relationships with stakeholders
* Demonstrated experience and commitment to professional development and quality improvement and /or research in psychology
* Demonstrated commitment to work, health and safety and positive patient experience
