Job Description

We are seeking a confident and motivated self-starter with knowledge and experience in either biodiversity planning, environmental planning or strategic planning including relevant qualifications within those fields or similar. You will have experience in providing technical advice on environmental and biodiversity planning matters, as well as support in the delivery of smaller, less complex environmental and biodiversity planning projects.
You will be able to demonstrate project management and communication skills to deliver great fit-for-purpose and robust outcomes, paying attention to the finer details, while still having the big picture in mind. The ability to independently work through challenges to resolve difficulties or find and recommend alternative solutions to accomplish objectives is essential.
The role involves working across biodiversity conservation planning, strategic land-use planning and infrastructure project-delivery contexts. You will provide routine technical advice on environmental and biodiversity planning matters in accordance with legislative, policy and business requirements.
In addition to this, you will undertake allocated planning activities to support the delivery of environmental and biodiversity outcomes and to meet the needs of the organisation and the community within our City. You will also conduct research and analysis and contribute to the preparation of strategic plans, costings, reports, and associated documents for a range of environmental and biodiversity planning projects.
