How you fit: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Modeller to design, implement, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, data analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data structures align with business goals and technical requirements. Key relationships Data Engineering Team Data Architecture Business Analysts Data Analysts Data Governance Team What you do: Data Modeling: Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models. Translate business requirements into data structures that support reporting and analytics. Maintain and optimize existing data models for performance and scalability. Collaboration & Communication: Work with data architects, data engineers, business analysts, data analysts to understand data needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data models meet business requirements. Document data models and metadata for transparency and governance. Data Governance & Quality: Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across systems. Support data governance initiatives by assisting in defining data standards and best practices. Participate in data quality assessments and remediation efforts. Tooling & Technology: Use data modelling tools (e.g., ER/Studio, Erwin, Power Designer) to create and manage models. Support database design and integration efforts across platforms (SQL, NoSQL, cloud-based) Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business units, product managers, and analysts to understand requirements and translate them into data solutions. Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Additional Responsibilities Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging tools, technologies in data science, machine learning and analytics. Willing to try new ideas and emerging data science and AI technologies to accelerate the practice of data modelling What you need: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field 2–5 years of experience in data modelling across a medium to large enterprise Proficiency in data Modeling techniques (normalization, dimensional modeling, etc.). Strong SQL skills and familiarity with relational and non-relational databases. Experience with data Modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, dbt, PowerDesigner). Understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes. Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure Ability to clearly document data models and explain them to technical and non-technical audiences.
