Registered Nurse- Chemotherapy
1. 12 months, fixed term basis or casual hours available

3. Chemotherapy Day Unit operates Monday - Friday only, no evenings or weekend shifts
4. Training and extensive supernumerary support provided to upskill a registered nurse who has a passion to embark on a career in Cancer nursing
Based in Gippsland, Latrobe Regional Health are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Chemotherapy Day Unit on a 12 month, fixed term or casual basis.
Reporting to the Chemotherapy Nurse Unit Manager, the successful applicant will play an important role in delivering cancer care of patients diagnosed with malignancies. The Chemotherapy Day Unit also encompasses a wide variety of medical infusions and procedures, including but not limited to infusional treatment for Crohn’s disease, Multiple sclerosis, Rheumatoid Arthritis. Medical procedures include abdominal paracentesis, bone marrow biopsies, venesections and intravesical treatments.
The successful applicant will be required to:
5. Demonstrate a high level of competence in cancer care nursing
6. Provide high level care co-ordination of patients with a malignancy
7. Demonstrate a high level professional engagement and communication skills with a number of clinicians in a multidisciplinary team
8. A commitment to the National Standards and compliance with the ACQSHC National standards
9. Sound clinical assessment, decision making and problem solving skills
10. Work independently and within a team
11. Demonstrate proficient computer skills
12. Be flexible and adaptable
13. Demonstrate commitment to professional development for yourself and others

The successful applicant will require:
19. Current registration with AHPRA, Registered Nurse, 1 years’ experience in Oncology and Haematology Nursing desired but not essential
20. Relevant experience demonstrating the appropriate competencies and skills for antineoplastic administration and management
21. Completion of the Antineoplastic Drug Administration Course or Equivalent (18 hour Online course via eviQ Platform)
22. Current and satisfactory Working with Children Check (where relevant) as per Working with Children Act 2005
23. Current and satisfactory Police Check (must comply with Aged Care Act 1997 Accountability Amendment Principles 2012 if working in Aged Care settings)
