Amentum are seeking an NV1 cleared Risk Manager. You will play a pivotal role in supporting Air Defence capability, programs and projects to achieve their objectives through robust, proactive and compliant risk management. Working closely with project teams, senior stakeholders and external partners, you will provide expert advice to identify, analyse and manage risks, issues and opportunities that may impact delivery outcomes.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Integrated Program Risk Management Plan (IPRMP), ensuring alignment with Defence risk policies and frameworks. This role sits at the intersection of governance, assurance and delivery, contributing to informed decision‐making, assurance activities and continuous improvement across the program.
What will I be doing day to day?
* Provide risk management expertise and advice to Air Defence programs and projects, helping teams identify and manage risks, issues and opportunities
* Facilitate risk identification, analysis and review workshops at business, program and project levels, in line with the IPRMP
* Assess the effectiveness of controls implemented to treat identified risks and supporting enhancements where required
* Develop, implement and maintain the Integrated Program Risk Management Plan, ensuring ongoing alignment with CASG risk management policy and guidance
* Maintain high‐quality, accurate risk registers and data within Defence systems, including remediation of data integrity issues
* Review and validate branch, project and joint risk registers, including those shared with key stakeholders and industry partners
* Support audit schedules, compliance reporting and assurance activities, including engagement with internal and external auditors
* Facilitate risk‐related workshops and reviews with internal teams and external stakeholders, including industry partners and Capability Managers
* Actively contribute to continuous improvement by mentoring and upskilling Branch personnel in risk management practices
What sort of skills do I need?
* Demonstrated experience in enterprise, program or project risk management, ideally within Defence or similarly governed environments
* Familiarity with CASG risk policy, systems and processes (or the ability to quickly develop this knowledge) will be highly regarded
* Strong ability to identify, analyse and articulate risks, issues and opportunities, and support informed decision‐making
* Experience developing and maintaining Risk Management Plans aligned to formal governance frameworks
* Understanding of governance, compliance, assurance and audit processes, with experience supporting audit activities
* Australian citizenship, NV1 clearance, ITAR compliance required
