The department is one of the largest regional Neurology Centres in Australia, providing a comprehensive range of services including acute neurology, stroke and neurosurgery. The centre has a dedicated ward, an Acute Neurosciences Unit, a Neurophysiology service, EEG services, and a progressive neurology service with a multidisciplinary care model.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a non-core year Registrar to work alongside a dedicated neurosciences team. Neurologists provide leadership, guidance and expertise in the management of acute stroke and neurology, including thrombolysis and decision making around clot retrieval with support from a stroke co-ordinator.
The Registrar will assist in the acute service and consultative neurology service provided to a hospital. They will also participate in neuroradiology meetings, EEG and EMG/NCS training as well as brain school.
