The opportunity

Responsibilities
As the Supervisor you will develop and coordinate maintenance activities for roads and bridges assets and ensure the day-to-day management of the City's contract-delivered road maintenance and minor works are carried out effectively and efficiently, within budget and to agreed quality standards and customer expectations.
To be successful
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Diploma of Civil Engineering or related discipline
* Five (5) years or more experience in civil construction, maintenance, contract management and administration
* Current unrestricted "C" class national driver's licence
* Current White Construction Card
* Current certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management
* Experience in supervising contractors and employees
* Broad knowledge and understanding of contract managed road, bridge maintenance techniques, materials, methods and quality control procedures
* Working knowledge of labour, materials and equipment estimating, budgetary preparation and control, costing and administration
* High level of working knowledge of the safe operation and user maintenance of plant and equipment
* Understanding of, and commitment to, the principles and practices of WHS and Equal Opportunity
* Highly developed interpersonal and customer relation skills and demonstrated ability to deliver quality customer service
* Developed leadership skills to lead and motivate workgroups to achieve effective outcomes

* The salary for this role commences at step 1, with potential for movement within the range based on demonstrated skills and experience. Incremental progression typically occurs at the conclusion of each 12-month period, in accordance with the Industrial Agreement.
