Content Creator (Shoot & Edit) – Havas Red Melbourne
Ready to turn trends into content that stops people mid‑scroll? Havas Red Melbourne's social media team is looking for a Social Media Content Creator to join a collaborative and creative group of storytellers and makers. Here you will produce culturally relevant, high‑performing content that does more than fill a feed.
What You'll Do
* Ideate and pitch bold, culturally relevant content concepts tailored for platforms like Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and TikTok.
* Conceptualise, shoot and edit social‑first video and static content that is fast‑moving, high‑impact and always on brand.
* Own the content creation process from start to finish—pre‑production planning, scripting, storyboarding, shooting, editing and optimisation for each channel.
* Confidently shoot stills and video using camera equipment in a range of real‑world settings, including events, activations, client locations and on‑the‑go environments.
* Travel around Australia to capture content at events, launches, brand experiences and community activations, meeting people from many different walks of life.
* Lead production best practices such as file management, workflow, quality control and efficient delivery across multiple projects.
* Adapt content for different brand voices, aesthetics and audiences while balancing creativity with commercial outcomes.
* Stay up‑to‑date on emerging trends, platform updates, pop culture movements, creator content and digital behaviours, bringing new ideas to the table before they reach the mainstream.
* Develop content that aligns with broader PR, social and digital strategies, working closely with internal teams to ensure creative output supports campaign objectives and social KPIs.
* Work on multiple projects at once, set priorities, work independently, solve problems, improvise and function as part of a team.
* Develop strong relationships with the wider integrated teams at Havas, including events, digital and account management.
What We're Looking For
* Minimum 2+ years' experience creating social‑first content for brands, agencies or publishers.
* A standout portfolio showcasing your creative work across Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube and other platforms.
* A sharp eye for trends, formats and cultural movements, along with the instinct to turn them into impactful brand content.
* Strong understanding of camera settings, lighting, sound and visual storytelling.
* Exceptional visual design skills needed to create engaging content.
* Strong understanding of video codecs and log format workflows.
* Proficiency in editing tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Davinci Resolve, Photoshop, Lightroom, Illustrator, Figma and Canva.
* Strong understanding of social media platform best practices, content formats, and technical specs across social media channels.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects, prioritise tasks and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
* Bonus points for motion graphics and/or basic graphic design skills.
* Excellent collaboration skills to be part of and support a tight‑knit team.
What You'll Get
* Creative freedom to produce work you're genuinely proud of.
* Access to ongoing training and development via Havas University.
* A tight‑knit, collaborative Melbourne team backed by a global network.
* A team culture that balances hustle with humour—and celebrates the wins together.
* A workplace that champions diversity, individuality and meaningful inclusion.
