Bidfood Wollongong is looking for a forward-thinking and organised individual to join our team as a Purchasing Officer at our Albion Park Rail branch.

This role is about more than just managing stock — it's a critical position that helps drive the day-to-day operations that keep Bidfood moving. You'll support hospitality and foodservice businesses by managing the inventory of products they need. Your attention to detail and forward planning will help keep kitchens running smoothly, from local cafés and restaurants to hospitals and aged care facilities.
About The Role
On a day-to-day basis, you'll manage stock levels and place orders to keep inventory flowing. You'll also work closely with sales reps to source new products and introduce new suppliers. The role will also be responsible for:
* Monitoring inventory and generating reports
* Processing purchase orders and stock transfers
* Applying supplier deals and promotional pricing
* Coordinating with suppliers and internal teams
* Maintaining accurate product and pricing data
* Supporting admin tasks and branch operations
* Representing Bidfood with a professional, solutions-focused approach
About You
While previous purchasing experience is preferred, we're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable working with numbers and systems. You're a clear communicator who enjoys being part of a team, can juggle multiple tasks and takes pride in accuracy and follow-through.
