Asset manager (sydney)

We're looking for a capable leader to serve as Asset Manager supporting a critical Defence capability located in the Naval Base at Garden Island. The role involves planning and delivering asset management services to maximize the value of a key Defence asset, working closely with cross‐functional teams to drive performance, maintain compliance, and promote a safety‐first culture.

• Lead the development of asset strategies to drive long‐term value.
• Plan and manage sustainment activities across performance, cost and risk.
• Coordinate supportability analysis, sparing, maintenance and obsolescence planning.
• Oversee lifecycle asset planning from acquisition to disposal.
• Manage and enhance the accuracy of asset data and reporting.
• Maintain ISO55000 accreditation and champion continuous improvement.
• Lead, coach and mentor a high‐performing cross‐functional team.
• Promote a strong safety culture and collaborative working environment.
• Drive innovation and quality improvements that support customer satisfaction.

• Engineering, business or relevant tertiary qualifications (preferred).
• Strong relationship builder with excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Team‐first attitude and drive to influence positive change.
• Experience in asset management, maintenance or operations in complex environments.
• Working knowledge of ISO standards and asset lifecycle planning.
• Confident with data, analysis and problem‐solving.
• Commercially aware, safety‐focused and customer‐minded.
