**Job Overview:**
* The Department of Medicine at Launceston General Hospital is a large and busy service group, overseeing various areas including the Acute Medicine Division.
The Acute Medicine Division comprises four medical wards and the Acute Medical Unit, delivering essential care for patients with acute and complex medical conditions.
As an Executive Assistant to the Nursing Director of Acute Medicine, you will perform highly administrative duties, including diary management, correspondence, meeting coordination, and documentation preparation.
1. You will provide direct administrative support to the Nursing Director, including preparation of confidential documents, correspondence, submissions, and reports.
2. You will assist in developing effective communication systems, ensuring the timely flow of information to internal and external stakeholders.
3. You will coordinate and assist in producing complex documentation, conduct research for Ministerial Briefs, and prepare background notes on departmental activities.
4. You will schedule meetings, videoconferences, and appointments, compiling agenda papers and taking minutes or notes.
This role enables the Nursing Director to focus on strategic priorities while maintaining safe, high-quality care for the community.
